Terms of Service
Last updated: October 20, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and BlackPug LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company that operates Yef (“Yef”). They apply when you use yef.app and the Yef service. If you use Yef for a business, you accept them on behalf of that business. If you don’t agree with them, don’t use Yef.
Please read section 16. It says that disputes are resolved by individual arbitration, not in court or in a class action, and how to opt out within 30 days.
1.What Yef does
Yef makes changes to the theme of your Shopify store based on what you ask for in plain words. Changes are planned and built with AI models and the Yef team, on a draft copy of your theme. Your live store only changes when you publish a draft.
Yef is new and keeps changing: features can be added, changed or removed, and the service can be interrupted at times.
2.Your account
- You need an account to use Yef. Yef is for businesses and for people acting for their business.
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract.
- Give accurate information and keep access to your email and Google account secure. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
3.Access to your store and your theme
- To connect a store, you create a Theme Access password in Shopify and give it to Yef. Yef stores it encrypted and uses it only to read and edit your theme and to publish the drafts you approve.
- You give Yef permission to access, copy and change your theme’s files, and to use your requests, only to provide the service to you.
- You confirm that you own the store or are authorized to connect it, and that you’re allowed to modify its theme. If you use a paid theme, its license is between you and the theme’s developer.
- You can remove Yef’s access at any time by deleting that password in Shopify.
4.Drafts, publishing and your responsibility
- Review every draft before you publish it. Changes are written with AI models and can contain mistakes.
- You decide what gets published, and you’re responsible for the content of your store, including texts, prices, claims and legal notices.
- Every published change is saved as a version so you can undo it.
- Changes to your theme’s code can make future updates of the theme need extra work, because the theme’s developer doesn’t know about them.
- Yef doesn’t promise any result for your business, like more sales, more conversions or a faster store.
5.Plans, credits and payment
- Paid plans include a number of credits every month, also when billed yearly. Each change uses credits according to its size, shown before you approve it.
- Plan credits renew every month and don’t carry over to the next one. Extra credits can only be bought with an active plan and are valid for 12 months while your plan is active. When your plan ends, all unused credits end with it.
- Prices are shown on yef.app and in the app, in US dollars, for monthly or yearly billing. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Prices don’t include taxes. If taxes apply, they’re shown before you pay.
- The free trial gives you 5 credits when you connect a store that was never connected to Yef before, without a card. They’re valid for 30 days. Each store gets the free trial once, also if it’s connected again later or from another account. The free trial never turns into a paid plan: there’s no card and nothing renews.
- Your first paid plan includes bonus credits for its first month, once per account: 5 on Starter, 10 on Pro and 15 on Scale.
- Paid plans are charged when you subscribe; there’s no trial period on the plan itself.
- If you cancel within 24 hours of subscribing and haven’t used any credits, you get a full refund: use “Cancel and get a refund” in Plan & credits. Your plan ends right away and its credits with it. This applies only to a new subscription, not to renewals.
- Other payments, renewals included, aren’t refunded, except where the law requires otherwise. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for and doesn’t renew.
- Credits have no cash value.
- Custom projects are quoted separately and follow the proposal you approve.
6.Automatic renewal
- Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period, every month or every year, and you’re charged the plan’s price at that time, until you cancel.
- Before you pay, you see the price, how often you’re charged and that the plan renews. You agree to the automatic renewal with the checkbox at checkout.
- After you subscribe, you get an email with your plan, when it renews and how to cancel.
- You can cancel anytime online, in Plan & credits. Canceling stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Once a year you get a reminder of your plan, its price and how to cancel. Yearly plans get it about 30 days before they renew.
- If the price of your plan changes, you get an email at least 7 and no more than 30 days before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.
7.Acceptable use
Don’t use Yef to:
- break the law or Shopify’s terms;
- publish content that infringes the rights of others, misleads buyers or causes harm;
- access stores or accounts that aren’t yours, or get around limits or security;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the service.
Yef can decline a request that breaks these rules.
8.Ownership
- Your store, your content and the changes made to your theme for you are yours.
- BlackPug LLC keeps all rights to the Yef service, its software and its brand.
- If you send feedback, Yef may use it without any obligation to you.
9.Services Yef relies on
Yef relies on services such as Shopify, Anthropic, Stripe, Google, Railway and Resend. Their availability and terms are outside Yef’s control.
Yef isn’t affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Shopify. Shopify is a trademark of Shopify Inc.
10.Suspension and termination
You can stop using Yef and close your account at any time by writing to privacy@yef.app. Yef may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.
When an account closes, its plan ends, its credits end with it and its information is handled as the Privacy Policy says.
11.Disclaimer
Yef is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
12.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, BlackPug LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Its total liability for any claim related to Yef is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Yef in the 12 months before the claim or US$100.
13.Indemnification
You’ll defend and hold harmless BlackPug LLC against claims by others that come from the content of your store, what you publish, or using Yef against the law or the rights of others, including reasonable legal fees.
14.Governing law
These terms are governed by the Federal Arbitration Act for section 16 and otherwise by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Anything that doesn’t go to arbitration is resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you and BlackPug LLC agree to their jurisdiction.
15.Talk to Yef first
If something goes wrong, write to support@yef.app with your account email and what happened. You and Yef try to solve it in good faith for 30 days before either starts an arbitration or a claim.
16.Arbitration and class action waiver
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR RIGHTS.
- If a dispute about Yef or these terms isn’t solved under section 15, it’s resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its rules for commercial disputes, or for consumer disputes when those apply. Fees are paid as those rules say.
- The arbitration happens in writing or by video, unless the arbitrator decides a hearing in person is needed. A hearing in person happens in the county where you live or in Wyoming.
- Either of you can instead take an individual claim to small claims court, if it qualifies. Claims about intellectual property or misuse of the service can go to court.
- You and BlackPug LLC each give up the right to a jury trial and to take part in a class, collective or representative action. Claims are brought and resolved only individually.
- If 25 or more similar claims are filed by or with the help of the same lawyers or organization, they’re administered in batches of up to 25. The others wait, without counting against any deadline, until a batch ends.
- You can opt out of this section within 30 days of first accepting these terms. Write to support@yef.app from your account email saying that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out doesn’t change the rest of these terms.
- If the class action waiver can’t be enforced for a claim, that claim goes to court instead of arbitration.
17.Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a meaningful way, you get an email at least 14 days before the change takes effect, and you may be asked to accept them in the app. Using Yef after that means you accept them.
18.General
- These terms, the Privacy Policy and any Custom proposal you approve are the whole agreement between you and BlackPug LLC about Yef.
- If a part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part right away doesn’t mean giving it up.
- You can’t transfer these terms without written permission. BlackPug LLC can transfer them as part of a merger or sale of the business.
- Neither side is responsible for delays caused by events outside its reasonable control.
- Notices to you go to your account email; notices to Yef go to support@yef.app.
- Sections 8 and 11 to 18 still apply after an account closes.
