How to add a size chart to your Shopify product pages

A size chart answers the question that stops most clothing purchases: “Will it fit?”. The usual place is a link next to the size options that opens the chart without leaving the page.

Updated October 10, 2026. Steps checked on the Dawn and Horizon themes.

Do it yourself in the theme editor

Dawn

  1. Create a page in Online Store > Pages called “Size chart”, with your table or an image of it.
  2. Open Online Store > Themes, click Edit theme and switch to the Default product template.
  3. In Product information, click Add block > Pop-up. Set the link label to “Size chart” and choose your page.
  4. Drag the block next to the size options and save.

Horizon

  1. Create the “Size chart” page in Online Store > Pages.
  2. In the theme editor, open the Default product template and go to Product information > Details.
  3. Add a Popup link block called “Size chart” and add a Page block inside it with your page.
  4. Save and check it on a product.

Horizon’s labels can change between versions. If you don’t see Popup link, look in the Links group of Add block.

A different chart per product type

  1. In the theme editor, open the template menu and click Products > Create template.
  2. In that template, point the size chart at another page, for example “Size chart: shoes”.
  3. Assign the template from each product’s Theme template field, or to many products at once with Bulk edit.

Where the theme editor falls short

  • The chart is a page you keep up to date by hand, usually a plain table or an image.
  • There’s no switch between inches and centimeters, and no help choosing a size.
  • A different chart per product type means one product template per chart.
  • It looks like page content, not like part of your product page.

Or ask Yef

Yef is an AI developer built for Shopify themes, and you don’t need any technical skills to use it. You write the change in plain words and see what it will do, and Yef applies it to a draft of your store that you try before anything goes live.

You write

Add a size chart to every product page, next to the size options. Use our fonts and colors, with a switch between inches and centimeters. Tops use one chart and pants another.

You get

A “Size chart” link next to the sizes that opens a chart styled like your store, with the right chart for each product type. You try it on a draft first.

Questions

Can I have a different size chart for each product type?

Yes. With the theme editor, you need one product template per chart and assign each product to the right one. Yef can build the chart so it shows the right one by product type.

Should a size chart be an image or a table?

A table is easier to read on a phone and easier to update. An image works, but it can’t be zoomed comfortably or searched, and every change means a new image.
